Looking at the code I see the container is always deleted and recreated. Would it be possible to have an option where the container can be left alone and only the children deleted? Or some mechanism so I can be notified when it has been replaced as I want a reference to the container and I am having issues trying to get the correct reference at the correct time.

You can get the reference to the Container gameObject at any time, using this code:
scroller.GetComponentInChildren<UnityEngine.UI.VerticalLayoutGroup>().gameObject;
assuming your EnhancedScroller object is named "scroller".

Hi it was more of a timing issue. I wanted to know once it was complete. I think I worked around it.
Thanks
