I get the following Exception when checking the "Overwrite If Exists" option:
Failed to open database at the working path: C:/.../LocalLow/DefaultCompany/project\words.bytes
The file exists in the path, perhaps it's the mix of / and \ that causes the issue. If I use the "Change Working Name" option i don't get the error.
Platform: Win 10, Unity 2021.2.8f1, SimpleSQL v2.14.1

I'm not able to reproduce this. If you can send me a complete, simplified project that demonstrates the issue, I'll take a look. Please see this FAQ for more information: link

I managed to reproduce it again and I think I know what the problem is. It happens when my application crashes and SimpleSQL doesn't close the database properly, so next time it's unable to delete the file (if I try to delete it manually I get an error that the file is opened by the Unity Editor), just restarting Unity solves it. I don't know if thee is anything to do about it, except perhaps give a better error message when SimpleSQL is unable do delete the database file.
